Our Work
In the coming months, the Coalition will initiate the following activities:
Establish the Secretariat: The Coalition will create a Secretariat to serve as the hub of its activities over the next five years.
Strategic Advocacy: The Coalition will expand its activities with international agencies and governments. This work will largely focus on supporting informed policymaking and funding for global HPV vaccine access.
Political Mobilization: The Coalition will increase outreach and networking activities to expand global support to end cervical cancer. These activities will engage champions from diverse constituencies—youth, cancer, HIV/AIDS, sexual and reproductive health and health policy—to support a comprehensive approach to cervical cancer prevention.
Coordination: The Coalition will coordinate between partners and among stakeholders working in cervical cancer prevention to promote the effective use of resources through information sharing on lessons learned, partnering and preventing the overlap of activities.
Resource Mobilization: The Coalition will work with international agencies, government donors, and private foundations to increase the base of funding for cervical cancer programs and new tools.
Monitoring: The Coalition will monitor global progress in the elimination of cervical cancer, including its own impact on global access to prevention tools. It will serve as a hub linking researchers, NGOs and registries to understand the impact of new technologies on cervical cancer cases at the country-level.
