Global Call to Stop Cervical Cancer presented in Buenos Aires
Meeting results in many new organizations pledging their support.
The Global Call to Stop Cervical Cancer was presented at the "Stop Cervical Cancer in Latin America" meeting in Buenos Aires, Argentina on 19 June 2007. This meeting brought together stakeholders from across Latin America to mobilize in the fight against cervical cancer and to discuss the challenges of facilitating and accelerating access to the vaccine in the countries of Latin America and of the Caribbean.
The Global Call was enthusiastically received by conference participants. Upwards of 30 organizations signed on immediately, bringing with them the first wave of support for this global movement.
